About Dewey Beach, DE - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Dewey Beach lies on a tiny narrow piece of land flanked by the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay. The resort community has always been proud of its rock-and-roll attitude and laid back way of life. Summers are all about sunny fun in the day and dancing and drink in the evening. The community is perfectly suited to those bold travelers who love to jet-ski, play volleyball on the beach, dolphin watching, parasailing and more.

The low year-round population of about 300 make for sleepy winters but when summer is at its height as many as 30,000 vacationers may descend upon this beach haven at any one time.  Locals get to enjoy their town in peace when it quiets down in the off season. During the last weekend of September, as the weather cools, the town hosts the Dewey Beach Music Conference, which began in 2002. Unsigned bands from all over the country converge on the town each year. Every Columbus Day weekend, is the “Greyhounds Reach the Beach” event in which thousands of rescued greyhounds and their owners gather together.

If you are interested in the natural wonders that this area has to offer then you simply must see The James Farm Ecological Preserve. It is a refuge of untamed terrain on the Indian River Bay, situated just a fast drive from town. There is no finer way to use up a nice, spring day than to amble through this extraordinary natural sanctuary. From the sandy beach at low tide, you can stroll through seven particular habitats; from the flats of the low marsh, through the high marsh, into the maritime forest, then into the shadows of the hardwood forest and then back into the light of day in meadows once used for agricultural work.
